OBJECTIVES

i.Educational Excellence: The Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture & Forestry, Chhattisgarh aims to impart knowledge and skills in the field of Horticulture & Forestry and other allied disciplines. It strives to provide comprehensive and practical education to students to develop professionals’ experts, skilled manpower by imparting technical and professional education to meet the challenges of the Horticulture & Forestry sector.

The university focuses on developing new tools, techniques, technologies & know-how for improving existing and also harnessing the potential of Horticulture and Forestry sector as well as finding solutions to various challenges faced by farmers and Horticulture & Forestry based industry.
iii.Extension Services: The University aims to disseminate research findings, technical knowledge, and best practices to farmers, rural communities, and stakeholders in the Horticulture & Forestry and allied sciences sector. xi.Area Expansion under Horticulture: Vertical expansion of area by adopting modern techniques and horizontal expansion of area through diversification of area from upland rice, course cereal and other crops to horticultural, forestry and allied sciences.
x.Consultancy services: Providing consultancy services to Government, industries, institutions for educational excellence, innovative research, nutritional security, income and employment generation and socio-economic development of people in horticultural and forestry sector.
